"The Eye"

Officially Licensed Watercolor Print by Andrew Shingleton

From the pages of Sarah J. Maas’s A Court of Thorns and Roses comes a chilling fragment of Prythian’s darkest tale. This striking close-up captures the cruel elegance of Amarantha’s hand, her long fingers tipped in crimson, resting possessively atop a dark intimidating, carved throne. Upon her finger sits the most haunting jewel of all — Jurian’s eye, forever trapped in a golden ring, cursed to witness every act of her tyranny.

Behind her, firelight coils into molten swirls, spilling from the glow of a wrought-iron lantern, casting the scene in both warmth and menace. The intricate silver border evokes the ancient magic and tangled politics of the fae courts.

At the bottom, an engraved verse whispers of the bitterness between seeker and sought:

“There are those who seek me a lifetime but never we meet,

and those I kiss but who trample me beneath ungrateful feet.”

For fans of the ACOTAR series, this is more than art — it’s a window into the cruel beauty of Amarantha’s reign Under the Mountain, a piece of the tension and fear that shaped Feyre’s journey.
